Next Saturday, I will begin another course, this one will be on worship. The instructor has sent out a book which he wants read by the first class.
I am really looking forward to this course. The form of the worship service has become a topic for discussion at Prince of Peace. Some months ago, we started a Saturday evening service using an alternative format. Some folks are calling this a contemporary service, but from what I have seen, the songs were contemporary 20 years ago! :) I am interested in seeing how this next course will treat such things as a contemporary service.
I have no idea how many folks are reading this blog, but if you have opinions on worship, feel free to post them. Who knows, they may get brought up in class!

Are you folks going to use the new hymnal -- The Lutheran Service Book?
Probably not, our copies of Lutheran Worship are only a couple of years old. What I will probably do is to buy one of the CDs and occasionally use selected items.
